The use of fake blood

In our thriller we used fake blood to help make the audience believe that their had been a murder, to make the fake blood we used cornflour, water and red food colouring. the first time we made it the liquid substance came out to thin and runnier and not thick enough it also came out more pinker than redder, so the second batch we made, we added more cornflour than we did originally this made the substance thicker than last time also to get the red we added more red food colouring to get to the red we wanted it and then added water. we then had to shake the bottle for the corn flour to mix with the water to thicken up so like a paste but not as thick.
on the third of filming we had to shoot the scenes of the main character following the blood trial and Izzy the girl covered in blood we made the blood trial by getting a rag and covering it blood and dragging its to form the blood path , we covered Izzy's arm in blood and through blood around the framing of the cupboard to make it look like she tried to get out. also we made hand marks of where she has been dragged and her hands have just trailed imprints of her hand. This made the thriller more erry and believable with this piece of iconography
